This course offers an in-depth exploration into audio production, focusing on technical skills as well as storytelling. Students will learn techniques for audio recording, editing, and mixing, with the goal of producing high-quality sound for a variety of media formats. The course also covers mobile audio gathering, providing students with skills needed to capture sound in low-budget and DIY environments. Students will also practice interviewing and writing for the ear, honing their ability to create compelling audio narratives. The course emphasizes the evaluation of audio quality and troubleshooting technical issues, equipping students with the problem-solving skills necessary for professional audio collaborations. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of the role of audio in film production.
