Video journalists, even at the entry level, are increasingly required to write, shoot, and edit their own stories. In this course, we will gain experience reporting, gathering video and audio, editing, and voicing stories for broadcast and online audiences. We will also practice conducting effective interviews, and editing news packages. Students will additionally practice live delivery using a teleprompter and ad-libbing. Students who do well in this course will leave with a polished demo reel that will help them apply for their first on-air job.
