Topics in algebra selected from properties of real numbers, simplification of algebraic expressions, factoring, exponents and radicals, equations, inequalities, logarithms, functions and their graphs, systems of linear equations, applications to business and the mathematics of finance. Note: Students may have this course waived as a prereq if their background warrants it. This waiver is usually determined by the Mathematics Placement Exam.
