Catalog description

What does "belonging" mean in Eastern European literature? This course focuses on works produced by writers who worked before and after the fall of communism in countries such as: Latvia, Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Romania, Moldova, Belarus, and Ukraine. Our survey course will sample works by writers from 11 countries, including poetry, fairy tales, adaptation, short stories, experimental fable, and plays.
