Shadow Seminar in Italian II

Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students, interested in the field of pedagogy, to two primary facets of education: teaching and administration. First, students, will be introduced to the daily tasks of a teacher through the interactions with pupils in and out of the classroom environment. The student will "shadow" the instructor and learn about various teaching techniques, lesson planning and classroom management. Secondly, students will be exposed to the rudiments of academic administration as they will be able to observe interaction with pupils and teachers from an administrative point of view Restrictions/Requirements: One 300 level Italian course.
