HON 100
Honors Advisory Board
Pace University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
The Honors Advisory Board is the student leadership organization of the Honors College where students develop valuable career skills and gain hands-on professional experience. This student-led group collaborates with the staff of the Honors College to host events for Honors students, manage Honors social media platforms, and create content that highlights the best that the Honors College has to offer. The Honors Advisory Board consists of three committees: Events, Marketing, and the Honors Herald. Each committee serves a separate function within the Honors Advisory board, and while students largely work within their own committees there are multiple opportunities for cross-committee collaboration. Students apply for specific positions within one of these committees and work to fulfill the responsibilities of their selected position. Appointments are for one year and all students who wish to return will need to reapply at the beginning of the following year. Each committee has four position tiers. This course is designed for the lowest level beginning leaders, as freshmen applicants are usually selected for entry-level Tier Four positions. Students can apply for higher tier leadership positions after a year of service in HAB. One of the principal goals of HON 100 is beginning leadership training, as upperclassmen and higher tier leaders train new HAB members in the skills they will need to one day assume ownership over HAB.
