Topics include: The Ancient Near East; Minoan Crete; Mycenaean and Homeric Greece; the development of the Greek city-state; the Athenian Empire and the Peloponnesian War; Alexander the Great and the Hellenistic Age; the Roman Republic and Early Roman Empire; the spread of Christianity; and the Later Roman Empire.
