A survey of the main trends emerging in the post-war period especially in the novel and theater. Intensive and extensive readings from Proust, Gide, Sartre, Camus, Giraudoux, Anouilh, existentialism, and the Theater of the Absurd. Restrictions/Requirements: Completion of one 300-level French course.
