Practicum in Bilingual Education

Catalog description

Students will develop their teaching skills through working with students in bilingual education programs in the elementary or secondary classrooms, integrating theories of development, learning, collaboration, language and literacy acquisition, curriculum development, using technology, assessment and differentiating instruction with actual teaching practice. During this one semester experience students Candidates will demonstrate their ability to teach bilingual students both in the target language and English in their base teaching certification area, reflecting regularly on all aspects of their teaching.
