Catalog description

The purpose of the AI Capstone course is for students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their bachelor's program to a project involving actual data. The project will be realized in teams. Students will experience the entire process from identifying a problem statement and relevant datasets to applying appropriate methods, carrying experimentation, and evaluating suitable solutions. Methodologies will be related to deep learning and machine learning. The project will be like one that students might typically encounter within industry, government, or academic research. The course will require the delivery of working software artifacts, written documentation, and oral presentations. It will integrate discussions and talks on technology, ethics and careers in AI.
