Catalog description
As may be agreed upon by the student and the faculty supervisor, students may be trained in such things as the development and implementation of a hypothesis; the creation of experimental design; the performance of experiments; the role of primary scientific literature; the critical analysis of scientific data; and the reporting of scientific data. The specific experiences of a student will vary depending upon the student’s interests and the faculty supervisor’s research expertise. Requirements/Restrictions: Permission of the chairperson of Chemistry Department required. Open to Chemistry, Biochemistry, Forensic Science and Biology majors only.
