Organic Chemistry I (Lecture)

Catalog description

A study of organic compounds and organic reactions. Emphasis is placed on the use of reaction mechanisms and the relationship between structure and reactivity. Topics include the alkanes, the alkenes, alicyclic hydrocarbons, aromatics, stereochemistry, and spectroscopy. Restrictions/Requirements: Open only to students enrolled at other colleges requiring Lecture only. Consult the Chemistry department for registration procedure.
