Catalog description
=Introduction to chemistry with emphasis on the theoretical and descriptive aspects of the science. The use of problem-solving in understanding chemistry is stressed. No chemistry background is required. Three hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week. Prerequisite or corequisite: MTH 1054 Introduction to Statistics, MTH 1104 Pre-Calculus, or a higher-level mathematics course.
