This course develops both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Students will learn the operating principles of refrigeration, system components, and diagnostic procedures through a combination of classroom instruction, equipment demonstrations, and practical lab exercises. Emphasis is placed on understanding system operation, identifying faults, and applying industry-standard repair techniques. Recommended as a first-semester course, this course is ideal for individuals seeking to enter or advance in the air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration industry as service technicians, installers, maintenance technicians, sales representatives, or system designers.
