Directed Practice II

Catalog description

Students participate in an actual hospital surgery department under constant supervision. The practice gives the student the opportunity to apply the principles and skills learned in the classroom and laboratory. A weekly seminar is required with instructor visitation also occurring weekly. The experience, scheduled during the summer, meets 30 hours per week. Co-requisite: SUR 102
