Surgical Directed Practice II

Catalog description

Provides intermediate experiences in the clinical setting under the direct supervision of a Surgical Technologist or other appropriate assigned personnel by the hospital coordinator. The focus is on level 2 cases in the areas of general, gynecology, genitourinary, orthopedics, vascular, ophthalmic, reconstructive, neurologic, thoracic and ENT. The student has the opportunity to apply theory learned in the laboratory and lecture in this setting. A weekly reflection is required as well as visitation by faculty.
