Public Speaking

Catalog description

A general course that provides students with the basic principles of public speaking through lecture and evaluation of individual speeches. Emphasis is on the audience-centered approach to informative and persuasive speaking. Students will be expected to give a number of speeches throughout the semester. (Liberal Art elective). ). The web version of this course requires the use of a webcam or video recording capabilities in order to submit speeches. Co-requisite: ENG 111 or ENG 111P
