Catalog description

This course teaches the first semester of the 'First Year Iron Worker Apprenticeship Training Program'. This course will introduce the apprentice to but not limit itself to intermediate iron worker trade calculations using practical construction emphasis with positive and negative numbers, grouping symbols, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of monomials and polynomials, factoring, exponents and radicals, graphing and quadratic equations. This course will also cover ironworker trade safety, providing an understanding of the fundamentals of construction safety, specifically, safety in its related field and a semester project. Co-requisite: NONE
