Catalog description

This course teaches the first semester of the 'First Year Plumber/Pipefitter Apprenticeship Training Program'. This course will introduce the apprentice to but not limit itself to intermediate plumbing & pipefitting trade calculations using practical construction emphasis with positive and negative numbers, grouping symbols, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of monomials and polynomials, factoring, exponents and radicals, graphing and quadratic equations. This course will also cover plumbing/pipefitting trade safety, providing and understanding of the fundamentals of construction safety, specifically, safety in its related field and a semester project.
