Provides competency in understanding the purpose for and interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbology. Operation of a coordinate measurement machine (CMM) is covered including history of CMM development, use of CMM for precision measurement, use of CMM for reverse engineering and writing programs for Brown and Sharpe Microval CMM to automate measurement procedures.
