Pathological Dysfunction

Catalog description

This course presents an introduction and discussion of multiple body systems including cardiovascular, pulmonary, integumentary, endocrine, and more. Disease etiology, medical diagnosis, and pharmacology of common pathologies encountered in physical therapy are discussed. Associated dysfunctions, treatment implications, therapeutic interventions, and care team management for the physical therapist assistant are addressed. Laboratory sessions provide application of learned skills.
