Catalog description

This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of human movement, focusing on biomechanical principles as they relate to the practice of physical therapy. Osteokinematic and arthrokinematic concepts will be discussed. Structure, function, and movement of the musculoskeletal system, joint and tissue properties, and common musculoskeletal conditions are introduced. Basic assessment and documentation of joint and muscle function will be completed. Laboratory sessions provide application of learned skills.
