The course focuses on the clinical application of practical nursing concepts, profession of nursing, and the development of critical thinking and decision-making skills. The concepts of professional nursing licensure, roles, and responsibilities are discussed as it applies to the role of the practical nurse. College laboratory and clinical experiences are planned to enhance the students transition to the role of the Licensed Practical Nurse.
