Math for Education Majors I

Catalog description

This course provides students with functional knowledge of mathematical concepts that lead to the understanding and teaching of the concepts included in the Ohio Mathematics Core and national standards for the preparation of teachers. Topics include NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) standards of number, operations, algebra, the NCTM process standards of problem solving, reasoning, proofs and communication. This course is open to education majors only.
