Catalog description

Studies tool design methods and tool making practices. Reviews of tooling materials and heat treatment processes, followed by the study of jigs, fixtures, piercing and blanking dies, as well as the design of sheet-metal bending, forming and drawing dies. A number of design problems are practiced to develop the basic tool design concepts needed in today's machine shops and manufacturing firms. Co-requisite: NONE
