Catalog description

Provides the student with information regarding the sources of law, types of consent, malpractice, the physician-patient relationship, and ethical issues surrounding patient care and clinical research. The student will understand the history of medicine and medical assisting, components of the heathcare team, patients' rights, and scope of practice as it relates to medical assisting.
