Catalog description
Introduces and explains the various types of offenses that qualify as cyber crime and breeches of Information Security. Provides a framework for analyzing current and projected data and information exposure within an organization. Includes the study of firewalls, virus prevention techniques, network security and common forms of cyber crime. Upon completion, students should be able to accurately describe and define cyber crime activities and select an appropriate response to deal with the problem. Recommended prerequisite knowledge in networking or enroll in IST 125 and 227. Co-requisite: NONE
