Intro to Rec Paddlesports

Catalog description

Learn basic paddling sport theory, nomenclature, waterway rules, and safety responses to safely practice recreational paddlesport activities in kayaks, canoes, and Alden Shells. Type of equipment will vary by campus and location. Class will consist of both classroom and water settings. Personal floatation devices will be provided and must be worn near the water at all times. Please remember that water crafts are susceptible to overturning and basic water safe skills are required for course: ability to tread water and float on back.
