Catalog description
Understanding the physiological response to exercises in a clinical and non-clinical setting for post-cardiac subjects will be reviewed. Reactions to the progressively increased demands of aerobic, strength and flexibility conditioning will also be examined. The utilization of secondary preventative strategies such as nutrition and stress reduction will supplement course content according to the standards of the AACVPR and the ACSM. The ability to recognize and respond to risks inherent in health diagnosis (telemetry) and physical fitness prescription for patients with multifactoral degenerative diseases as a complication of coronary artery and peripheral vascular disease will highlight the course. The interplay of pharmacological agents in exercise prescription will also be examined.
