Catalog description

The student will focus on learning the language of medicine by studying the structure of words including prefixes, suffixes, word roots and the rules for combining forms. This course includes spelling, usage, comprehension and pronunciation. Terminology is drawn from several medically related fields such as anatomy, pathology, diagnostic/ surgical procedures and sympotomatology. Co-requisite: HIM 120,HIM 130,HIM 140,HIM 150
