One phase of a three-phase program aimed at the newly promoted company officer or a firefighter anticipating promotion to company officer. Successful completion of the three phases of Company Officer Development satisfies the standards of NFPA 1021-Professional qualifications for Fire Officer I. Includes public speaking, instructional techniques, reporting and documentation, legal issues, and making a difference. Open to Ohio Fire Academy students only. Note: The three phases of the Company Officer Development Program-FST 154, FST 155, FST 156 ( or Ohio Fire Academy Courses 2121, 2122, 2123)-may be taken in any order. Co-requisite: NONE
