Introduction to the language and cultures of the French-speaking world. Development of elementary communicative skills with a balanced emphasis on speaking, listening, reading and writing. Presentation of materials to encourage appropriate cross-cultural responses. Laboratory practice may be required. (Arts and Humanities Elective). Co-requisite: NONE
