Intermediate Read for ESL

Catalog description

For students whose first language is not English. Offers further instruction in reading strategies for identifying main and supporting ideas, identifying patterns of organization, determining meaning from context and recognizing rhetorical strategies. Although specific emphasis is placed on reading, the course also focuses on the use of whole language. Does not carry college credit toward a student's degree.
