Beginning Reading for ESL

Catalog description

For students whose first language is not English. Introduces basic reading strategies for identifying main and supportive ideas, and determining meaning from context including making predictions. Although specific emphasis is placed on reading, the course also focuses on the use of whole language. Does not carry college credit toward a student's degree.
