Introduction to the dominant values, belief, and traditions of American life through a variety of reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities at a high-intermediate level. Covers the social reform, consumer culture, civil rights, education, feminism, and equal access. Although emphasis is placed on culture, the course will also focus on whole language.
