Catalog description
This course helps prepare the student to embark on a rewarding career in the waste water treatment profession. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency requires all operators at domestic waste water treatment facilities to be licensed. Students will learn the competencies required to succeed on the Class I Ohio Wastewater Operator License exam. Subject matter includes wastewater treatment theory, process monitoring and evaluation, equipment operation and maintenance, basic lab analysis, volume, flow, and process calculations, and safety and security considerations. Note: the license examination is not offered during this class and is not required for completion.
