Catalog description

Designed to increase the scope of practice for the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic to include the 2002 curriculum as an intermediate EMT. The program follows the State of Ohio curriculum and includes IV therapy, cardiac monitoring and more patient assisted medications. Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to take the National Registry exam and receive state certification through the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS). Offered for Emergency Medical Technicians who are interested in furthering their career or considering becoming a paramedic. Co-requisite: NONE
