Catalog description

Provides the foundation for curricular planning for the early childhood educator. Gives instruction concerning planning a well balanced, creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children. Includes developing goals and objectives, planning for daily, weekly and thematic teaching and designing a resource unit. Teaches positive classroom management techniques. Students implement a variety of activities with children in a child care setting for three hours per week for which separate registration is required on the Toledo-area Campus. Lab requires out-of-class preparation time. Clear background check required. Co-requisite: NONE
