Catalog description

This course describes the function of ODOT with respect to highway maintenance. ODOT is responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of public roads and bridges. Students will identify locations where maintaining sight distances around corners or at intersections; maintaining signals, signs, or striping at high risk locations; removing snow and ice; adding turning lanes; fixing those ever-present potholes would improve safety for vehicles, bicycles or pedestrians.
