Catalog description

Traffic Control provides for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, bicycles and pedestrian traffic, transit operations and access to property and utilities, through or around areas requiring continuous direction of the flow of traffic. It is important that HT's have an understanding of all facets of traffic control procedures. Items that directly affect smooth continuous flow of traffic are: signage, highway lighting, traffic signals and markings. Plan reading, proper construction and planning are also covered in this course: Co-requisite: NONE
