Catalog description
Continuation of pathology and pathophysiologic conditions of the heart. Comparison of physical signs, symptoms, and indications for an echocardiogram will be reviewed for each major pathology. Correlation with history and physical examination, laboratory tests, pharmacology, invasive and non-invasive testing, and sonographic findings as it relates to various cardiovascular pathologies and disease processes. Doppler techniques and measurements of the diseased heart will be discussed. Further compares specialized cardiac imaging techniques and procedures, including ultrasound enhancing agents. Principles of quality assessment in cardiac sonography will also be introduced.
