Catalog description

Examines pathology and pathophysiologic conditions of the heart. Comparison of physical signs, symptoms, and indications for an echocardiogram will be reviewed for each major pathology or disease. Correlation with history and physical examination, laboratory tests, pharmacology, invasive and non-invasive evaluations, and sonographic findings as it relates to various cardiovascular pathologies and disease processes. Doppler techniques and measurements of the diseased heart will be discussed. The necessary analytical skills of differential diagnosis needed in the clinical environment are emphasized.
