Catalog description
Emphasis will be placed on drugs used in dentistry to control pain. These will include analgesics, local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. The psychology and biology of pain management will be included. Students will demonstrate the administration of local anesthesia to a classmate. Emergency care, complications and record keeping of local anesthetic delivery will be covered. Co-requisite: DHY 230
