Criminal Justice Internship

Catalog description
This course gives criminal justice students hands-on, practical experience while working with criminal justice professionals in the field. Students may work in areas such as: patrol operations, criminal investigations, court appearance, corretions, probation, etc. The student will have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours of Criminal Justice courses and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. With assistance, students will be expected to find their own placement. Students should be prepared to submit to a criminal background check as may be required by the criminal justice agency assigned, and futher be willing to sign a waiver of liability at the agency's request.
