Introduction to RPG

Catalog description

Introduces the RPG 400 language on an IBM AS/400 computer from a business perspective. Includes RPG spec forms, the RPG fixed logic cycle, structured design and programming concepts, arithmetic and logical operations, control break processing, array and table processing, exception time output and sequential and random file access. Both program-described and externally-defined files are used in a batch environment. Basic CL commands and AS/400 operational concepts are introduced. Co-requisite: CIS 115
