Catalog description

Focuses on the computer as a problem solving tool for development, organization, communication and manipulation of information and data. Lecture emphasizes computer concepts, terminology, operating systems operating environments and use of various application software packages. Students are expected to complete assignments in college microcomputer laboratory facilities in the areas of spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software and database applications. Knowledge of keyboarding is recommended. Co-requisite: NONE
