Catalog description

Continuation of the introduction to the language and cultures of the Chinese-speaking world. Expansion of the communicative skills begun in CHN 111 with a balanced emphasis on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Further presentation of frequently written characters and of distinctive aspects of Chinese culture to encourage appropriate cross-cultural responses. Laboratory work may be required. (Arts and Humanities elective). Co-requisite: NONE
