Catalog description

A management course that builds upon the management foundation developed in the introductory management course and blends it with sport examples and issues. The course is project based: students research management issues in the field of sport. Students regularly make presentations on topics such as labor relations in sports, on and off the field motivational and leadership theories, strategic planning of sporting goods companies, and ethical issues that affect all sport organizations. Prerequisite: BUS-2402
