Catalog description

In this course we will apply principles of psychology science to industrial and organizational behavior and explore many topics applicable to your future experiences in the workplace. The ultimate goal of this discipline is to maximize both employee well-being and organizational effectiveness. Topics include job analysis, personnel selection, performance appraisal, work motivation and attitudes, leadership and occupational health. We will discuss many thought provoking examples such as Personality and Intelligence Testing in the workplace, Handwriting Analysis, Facebook and the Hiring Process, Pets at Work, Neuroscience and Leadership, Environmental Sustainability at Work, and Generations in the Workplace.
