Catalog description

NUR 1300 Medical Terminology course is designed to introduce students to the shared language of professionals within the healthcare system. The course will provide the knowledge and skills to identify, build and recognize terminology used to describe the human body, pathological processes, procedures, conditions and disease. Throughout the course the student will gain an understanding of the importance of medical terminology in the role of excellent communication and safety within the medical environment. Prerequisites: Anatomy and Physiology I (BIO-2105), Anatomy and Physiology II (BIO-2106)
